Auction and Gala

The NPS Auction is a showcase of NPS – a celebration of its mission, the city we live in, and most of all, our children and the families who support and nurture them. The event is a wonderful example of how to combine friend and fundraising into one. Funds raised benefit financial aid and technology.

Mark your calendars! This year the NPS Auction will be held Saturday, April 4, 2009 at the US Chamber of Commerce Hall of Flags. We had a great event in 2008 and look forward to another fabulous night in 2009. Stay tuned to this website for more information very soon!

To get involved! There are small and larger jobs for everyone – from a few phone calls, to creating a great line-up of signup parties, to supporting the art teachers with the fabulous art projects, to designing packages for the live auction, to picking up donations from some of our generous local business, to mailing invitations, and many more. Most importantly though, volunteering is a great community building experience. The auction cannot happen without the help of many and is one of the most rewarding collaborations with fellow parents across the whole school.

To donate! Please start thinking about items you and others may be able to donate – a specialty from your kitchen, time at vacation homes, time with a DC personality you know, a gift certificate from a restaurant you love, a gift certificate from a store you value, and think of friends or family who may have relationships to interesting businesses, vacation resorts, etc.
